American Elderberry (Sambuscus canadensis) Large, spreading, multi-stemmed shrub with large, flat-topped white flowers in June - July followed by purple-black berries. Can be used for jellies, pies and wine. Excellent for attracting birds, and will grow in wet areas. Grows in any type of soil and is very hardy.
